Kids Running Club

Elementary and middle school kids are enjoying this low pressure, lots of fun, running group that meets twice a week. Younger kids will work towards running 1 mile, and older kids will work towards a 5K. Each practice will have plenty of running games, as well as slowly adding distance running. Practice will also cover focus areas such as: form, dynamic stretching, hydration, attitude, fueling, tempo running, strides, intervals, racing, and more. Our goal is for running to be fun and for each participant to feel comfortable and progress throughout the fall. Sally Anne Groomes, a competitive long-distance runner, is leading this group.
